Hey y’all! My name is Brittany, I am currently the founder/owner and official chicken tender of Lakeside Orpingtons Hatchery. After advertising and posting business related content on Facebook and Instagram, I with the help of my tech savvy or nerdy as I like to call him husband decided an official website would better suit the hatchery. But never fear the Facebook and Instagram pages are still up and running!

So more about this website. As I mentioned my husband is the technology brains behind this operation. It’s probably for the best seeing as my mother/business partner is still trying to navigate the smart phone and Facebook world and I have owned a MacBook since 2014 and still have yet to figure out how to use it! I belong in the chicken pens and coops handling the dirty work. They say opposites attract and boy were they right. I managed to marry a city boy, but he has slowly warmed up this life of all things poultry. Even though he still wears gloves to clean coops. We will get him to full poultry farmer mode one day!
